MRC GEM has several specialty teams that any vetted volunteer can join. The descriptions for each team are included below. If you want to sign up or ask for more information, email the team leader shown.
CRC Strike Team
Our CRC Strike team is deployed in the event of a radiation emergency. Their primary function is to screen people for radiation contamination. Point of Distribution (POD) Team
Covid Testing and Vaccinations are great examples of when the POD Team would be deployed. MRC GEM Volunteers support surges and assist the Health Department upscale the efforts in their community. Evacuation Shelter Team
Our shelter team is deployed in the event that GNR Health opens shelters to help people that are evacuated, primarily due to weather reasons. To find our more about the team, or sign up, email patty@mrcgem.com
Community Health Outreach Team
Our Community Health Outreach Team supports GNR Public Health in the community. Some examples are narcan distribution, training, and mobile clinics. To find out more about the team, or sign up, email patty@mrcgem.com
Community Outreach Team

Telehealth Team

MRC GEM is the Georgia East Metro Health District Medical Reserve Corps, Inc. We are a top-to-bottom volunteer non-profit organization serving the health and emergency preparedness needs of Georgia’s Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale Counties.
